HBO isn’t Television, seemingly, which implies that TV is not HBO by definition. However that slogan works or does not work (and we could probably go a few rounds over that one), the one thing that Television certainly is (at the least these days) is SMART.
The humble television, seemingly distressed at being derided like the ‘idiot box’ for this long, has at last unequivocal to ‘wise up’. In short, a smart TV can now perform many of the same features as a pc or tablet, which is excellent when you’ve got people over and need to stream ‘The Best of Failblog’ on Youtube.
As well as housing any number of downloadable apps that include fully interactive editions of Netflix, Twitter and numerous, many others, the smart TV also lets the viewer to surf the net, just as they may on an iPad.
Get this, Samsung’s new 22 inch Smart TV will still intelligently learn what you want to watch and suggest related shows, it will then automatically search through live broadcasts and make a choice of recommendations for you. I swear I am not making this up. I mean, I always guessed Television could do more to pull its weight, but a TV that takes the hassle from channel surfing!? I never guessed I’d see the day.
The Samsung 22 inch smart Television can be the one smart Television with the full catch-up service, a service that includes BBC iPlayer, ITV player, Demand 5 and 4OD, meaning you’ll never miss out on your favourite events yet again (unless you, like me, tend to forget to stream them and then iPlayer deletes them…The Television is smarter now, but I am still as dim, miserably).
You can too wirelessly link between your smart phone and pc tablet, enabling you to view whatever’s in your little screen, by transferring it to your big screen. I could go on all day with the sheer amount of cool things this Television does, but it appears odd to write about a awesome product if i could, in reality, be actively using it.
Hooking an Xbox or Playstation 3 up to this screen is pure pleasure, however the fun does not end here; the Samsung 22-Inch LED TV also features a crystal clear, full HD 1080p widescreen, that will generate an amazing cinematic experience when hooked up to a Blu Ray player and a 5.1 Dolby Surround Sound system. You’ll be the envy of the neighbourhood. Unless they own a racing car, that is.
Oh yeah, it has built-in games. Did I mention that?
